Walking
From the center of Cēsis, head towards the Cēsis Castle. As you walk along the main road, follow the signs leading to Līgatne. After passing the castle, continue straight until you reach the intersection with the A2 road. Turn right onto the A2 road and walk along the side. Keep an eye out for local signage pointing toward Līgatne. The walk is approximately 5 km and will take about 1 to 1.5 hours.
Public Transport
From the Cēsis bus station, take a bus heading to Līgatne. The bus schedules may vary, so be sure to check the timetable at the station or online. The ride takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Līgatne bus stop, walk straight along the main road for about 500 meters until you see signs for Pils Pagrabi on your left.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Cēsis. Head towards the Cēsis Castle and then follow the same route as described for walking. The journey will take about 20-30 minutes, and you can enjoy the beautiful countryside along the way. Look for bike paths that may lead you directly to Līgatne.
