From Riga, take a bus to Bauska. Several buses travel this route daily from the Riga International Bus Station; the journey takes approximately 1 hour and 57 minutes and costs between $4 and $6. From Bauska Bus Station, transfer to a local bus heading to Rundāle. Look for buses going to Svitene or Bērstele via Pilsrundāle. This second leg of the journey takes about 20 minutes, with a ticket costing up to EUR 2. Get off at the 'Rundāle pils' stop, which is a short walk to the palace.

From Riga, take the A7 highway south towards Bauska. Continue on the A7 for approximately 67 km. From Bauska, follow the P103 road for about 12 km to Pilsrundāle. Look for signs directing you to Rundāle Palace. The drive from Riga to Rundāle Palace takes approximately 1 hour and 3 minutes. Free parking is available for visitors near the palace. An electric car service is available from the parking area to the palace for a fee.
