Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the center of Daugavpils, start at the Daugavpils Train Station. Exit the station and head south on Vienības iela. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and cafes along the way, which can be good spots to take a break. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Rīgas iela. Turn left onto Rīgas iela and walk for about 300 meters. You will see the entrance to Latgale Zoo on your right at Vienības iela 27. The zoo is well signposted, so you shouldn't miss it.

  • Public Transport

    From the Daugavpils Train Station, take bus number 5 or 7 towards 'Centrs'. The bus ride will take about 10-15 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Daugavpils Rīgas iela'. From there, walk back towards the intersection with Vienības iela and turn right. Continue straight on Vienības iela for about 500 meters until you reach Latgale Zoo at number 27. The zoo is clearly marked and is located on your left.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in the city center. Start from the Daugavpils city center and follow the same route as walking: head south on Vienības iela. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Rīgas iela and continue for about 300 meters. Turn right onto Vienības iela again, and after a short ride, you'll arrive at Latgale Zoo at Vienības iela 27. There are bike racks available at the zoo for you to secure your bicycle.
