Public Bus
From Jurmala, head to the closest bus stop, which is likely 'Jurmala, Dubulti' or 'Jurmala, Majori'. Take bus number 1 or 2 towards Riga. After approximately 25 minutes, get off at 'Riga, Zemitāni' stop. From there, transfer to bus number 15, which will take you directly to 'Riga, Zemgale Suburb'. Get off at the stop 'Zemgale Suburb, Rīgas iela'. From the bus stop, walk approximately 10 minutes northeast to reach Lucavsala. Follow the road signs towards the river and you will see the island in front of you.
Train
Make your way to the closest train station in Jurmala, 'Jurmala, Majori'. Take the train towards Riga. Once you arrive at 'Riga Central Station', exit the train and follow the signs to the bus terminal. From there, take bus number 15 towards 'Zemgale Suburb'. Get off at the stop 'Zemgale Suburb, Rīgas iela'. Walk approximately 10 minutes northeast towards the river to reach Lucavsala.
Bicycle Rental
Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Jurmala. Start your ride heading towards the direction of Riga. Follow the cycle path along Jomas Street, then connect to the main road leading to Riga. You will see signs directing you to Lucavsala. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you reach the vicinity of Zemgale Suburb, look for the signs for Lucavsala, which is accessible by bike.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous, you can walk to Lucavsala from Jurmala. Start at the beach area and walk towards the city of Riga, following the coast. Continue along the riverbank until you reach the bridge leading to Lucavsala. This walk can take around 2-3 hours, so make sure you have comfortable shoes and plenty of water.
