This 3.1 km loop trail offers a refreshing immersion into Latvia's diverse natural landscapes.The trail begins and ends at the parking lot near Slokas Lake, where you'll also find a picnic area and a distinctive 7-meter-high floating birdwatching tower. Ascend the tower for panoramic views of the lake, a haven for migratory birds, especially during spring and autumn.The path meanders along the lake's edge and through varying forest types, from damp black alder forests to pine stands and even a section of drained high moor. Keep an eye out for the sulfur spring near the birdwatching tower, a testament to the area's unique geological features. The trail surface is primarily a dirt path, with wooden boardwalks spanning the damper sections, such as the Vēršupīte swamp. These boardwalks, typically 80 cm wide, can be slippery when wet.Along the route, discover natural play elements for children, providing opportunities for climbing and balancing. For a longer excursion, consider extending your walk to Melnezers, the historical source of medicinal mud, or continue towards Jaunķemeri beach.Note that sections of the trail may be flooded during the spring and autumn.
