Car
If you're driving to Lielbāta's spring from anywhere in Pape Nature Reserve, start by heading south on the main road (A11) towards the town of Vaiņode. Continue on A11 for about 8 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road that leads to Vaiņode parish. Turn right onto this road and follow it for approximately 5 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Lielbāta's spring, which is located in a rural area. There is a small parking area available for visitors.
Public Transportation
To reach Lielbāta's spring via public transport, take a bus from Pape to the nearest town, Vaiņode. Buses operate several times a day, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Vaiņode, it is approximately a 5-kilometer walk to Lielbāta's spring. Follow the main road south from the bus stop, and keep an eye out for local signage directing you towards the spring. Bicycle
For the more adventurous, biking to Lielbāta's spring is an excellent option. Start from your location in Pape Nature Reserve and head towards A11. The journey is roughly 10 kilometers.
