Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from the Old Town (Vecrīga), walk towards the Daugava River. Head east along the riverbank until you reach the bridge called Akmens tilts (Stone Bridge). Cross the bridge and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Pils iela. Turn left onto Pils iela. Follow Pils iela as it curves slightly left; you will see Riga Castle on your right after a few minutes of walking. The address is Pils laukums 3, Centra rajons, Rīga, LV-1050.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    From the central area, locate the nearest tram stop (such as 'Rātslaukums'). Take tram line 5 or 7 heading towards 'Mežaparks' or 'Bolderāja'. Ride for about 5 stops (approximately 10 minutes) and get off at 'Pils' stop. After disembarking, walk straight down Pils iela, and you will arrive at Riga Castle in just a few minutes.

    Go to the nearest bus stop in the city center (for example, 'Stacijas laukums'). Take bus number 22 or 23 and ride for about 4 stops (approximately 10 minutes). Get off at 'Pils laukums' stop.
