Walking
From Town Hall Square (Rātslaukums) in Old Town, walk towards the House of the Blackheads. Continue down Tirgoņu iela until you reach Rīgas iela. Turn left onto Rīgas iela, then continue to Torņa iela. Turn right onto Torņa iela; the Swedish Gate will be on your left at Torņa iela 4-1a. This is a short walk through the heart of Old Riga.
Public Transport
From Riga Central Market, walk to the 'Pārdaugava' tram stop. Take tram line 7 towards 'Rīga' and get off at the 'Rātslaukums' stop. From there, follow the walking directions from Town Hall Square. A single 90-minute e-ticket costs €1.50. Remember to validate your ticket upon boarding.
Taxi
From the Riga International Airport, a taxi ride to the Swedish Gate will cost approximately €18 to €28. Ride-sharing apps like Bolt are also widely used in Riga. The base fare for a taxi is around €2.50, with an additional €0.70 per kilometer. Ensure the driver activates the meter or agree on a price beforehand.
