To reach Līgatne Nature Trails using public transport, take an intercity bus from Riga to the 'Augšlīgatne' bus stop. These buses operate on routes such as Riga – Cēsis, Riga – Madona, or Riga – Alūksne. From Augšlīgatne, you can take the local bus (route 6244) to the 'Gaujasmala' stop, which is the closest to the Nature Trails. Alternatively, you can walk approximately 10 km from Augšlīgatne to the trails. Another option is to take the train from Riga to Līgatne station. From the train station, you can take the local bus to 'Gaujasmala'. If the local bus schedule doesn't align with your arrival, be prepared for an 11 km walk to the Nature Trails. Bus fare from Riga to Augšlīgatne ranges from $4 to $6. The local bus from Augšlīgatne to Gaujasmala or from Līgatne station to Gaujasmala costs approximately $1 to $2. Keep in mind that the local bus service is infrequent, especially on weekends.

To reach Līgatne Nature Trails by car, follow the E77/A2 highway (Vidzeme Highway) until you reach Augšlīgatne. From there, take road V283 to Līgatne, following the road signs. Once in Līgatne, continue to follow the signs directing you to the Līgatne Nature Trails. Parking is available at the entrance of the trails. There is no information about parking costs.
