Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from the Sigulda train station, exit the station and head southeast towards the main road (A2). Turn right onto A2 and walk straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Look for the signs directing you to Līgatne. You will see a bus stop on the left side; you can choose to take a local bus that heads towards Līgatne if you're not up for the walk. If you prefer to continue walking, keep going straight on A2 until you reach the turn-off for Līgatne. Follow the signs for Līgatne and continue walking for another 2 kilometers until you arrive in the city center of Līgatne. Once in Līgatne, Pils Pagrabi will be located near the center, where you can ask locals for specific directions if needed.

• Bus

  From Sigulda, make your way to the main bus stop located next to the Sigulda train station. Look for the bus number that goes to Līgatne. Buses run regularly, so you should not have to wait long. The journey will take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Līgatne bus station, exit the bus and head straight down the main road. Pils Pagrabi is located within walking distance from the bus stop, and you can ask locals or follow the signs to find it.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike in Sigulda. Start at Sigulda Castle and head towards the main road (A2). Once you reach A2, turn right and follow the road towards Līgatne. The distance is about 4 kilometers and provides a beautiful scenic route. Keep an eye out for cyclists and be cautious of traffic. Upon reaching Līgatne, you can park your bicycle nearby and walk to Pils Pagrabi, which is located close to the town center.
