Our day trip with Janis was the perfect way to explore the beautiful area of Turaida and Sigulda. We visited several different places without feeling at all rushed. Janis is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide, sharing a fascinating mix of historical and mythical information. I would thoroughly recommend his tours (and Riga beer cellar recommendations).

An Unforgettable Day in Sigulda with an Exceptional Guide
An outstanding day in Sigulda! Valdis was the perfect guide, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly passionate about the region. He went far beyond the usual tourist spots. We explored hidden trails, fascinating places, charming castle, and cozy cafés... A wonderful surprise was Valdis's beautifully preserved 100-year-old camera, a unique and memorable touch. The conversations throughout the day were just as enjoyable as the sightseeing, and his flexibility made the experience feel completely personalized. He even went above and beyond the original tour itinerary simply to make sure that it would be the best possible experience. I couldn’t recommend this tour and Valdis more highly!

The Best of Sigulda Private Walking Tour
An engaging and smooth experience
I appreciate that the guide not only made it an engaging experience, but also a smooth journey on foot, through some of Sigulda's iconic landmarks. As a history enthusiast, I enjoyed a sight of the Turaida Museum Reserve. I also bought some handmade crafts. Overall, this walking tour is ideal for exploring this fascinating part of Latvia.
