Getting There

  • Walking

    From Sigulda town center, head towards the Sigulda train station, which is located about 1.5 kilometers from the center. Follow the main road (Pils Street) northwest until you reach the station. At the train station, take a local train towards Valmiera and get off at the Turaida station, which is the second stop. The Turaida Museum Reserve is approximately a 20-minute walk from the station. Exit the station and head east on Turaida iela, following the signs to Turaida Museum Reserve. The museum reserve is located at Turaidas iela 10, Turaida, Krimuldas pagasts, Siguldas novads, LV-2150.

  • Bus

    From Sigulda, walk to the bus stop located near the town center (next to the train station). Take bus number 1 heading towards Turaida. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Get off the bus at the Turaida stop. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to the Turaida Museum Reserve. Head northeast on Turaidas iela, and you will reach the museum reserve located at Turaidas iela 10.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Sigulda. Start at the Sigulda town center and head towards the river, following the bike paths. The distance to Turaida Museum Reserve is about 3 kilometers. Follow the bike route signs that lead you along the picturesque riverbank and through the scenic countryside, eventually leading you to Turaidas iela. The entrance to the museum reserve will be on your left at Turaidas iela 10.
