As you walk, you will pass several shops and cafes. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with 'Beirut-Damascus Road'. Turn right and continue for another 2 km. You will see signs directing you to Aanjar. Keep an eye out for the 'Umayyad City Ruins' signs. After approximately 2.5 km, you will arrive at the entrance of the ruins.

    From Aley, you can take a shared taxi (servis) towards Baabda or Beirut. Ask the driver to drop you off at the 'Beirut-Damascus Road' junction. This should take about 15-20 minutes. Once you get off, look for another shared taxi heading directly to Aanjar. The taxi ride will take an additional 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to go to 'Umayyad City Ruins', and they will drop you off at the entrance.
