Walking
If you are starting from the Baalbek city center, head southeast on Al-Hawzah Street toward the main road. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with the main road (Highway 5). Turn left onto Highway 5 and walk for approximately 5 km. You will see signs for Aanjar. As you approach Aanjar, keep an eye out for the Umayyad City Ruins, which will be on your right. The entrance is easily visible from the road.

Public Bus
From Baalbek, you can take a public bus to Aanjar. Head to the main bus station located near the city center. Look for buses heading towards Zahlé or the Bekaa Valley; they will drop you off in Aanjar. The ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Aanjar, ask the driver or locals for directions to the Umayyad City Ruins, which are within walking distance from the bus stop.

You can hire a taxi from the Baalbek city center to take you directly to the Umayyad City Ruins in Aanjar. Agree on a fare before you start your journey. The drive typically takes around 15-20 minutes. The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of the ruins.
