This 0.3-square-kilometer green space provides a refreshing escape from the city's hustle and bustle, offering residents and tourists a place to relax, exercise, and connect with nature.Originally, Horsh Beirut was a vast pine forest that protected the city from sandstorms. The park suffered significant damage during the Israeli invasion of 1982 and the Lebanese Civil War, remaining closed to the public for many years.Following extensive reconstruction, Horsh Beirut reopened in 2015 and now features well-maintained walking paths that meander through landscaped gardens, showcasing a diverse range of plant species, including native Lebanese flora.
