Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Byblos Old Souk, head towards the main road (Lebanon St) that runs parallel to the coast. Once you reach the main road, turn left and walk straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Byblos Castle. Continue past the castle, keeping the sea on your left. After about 10 minutes of walking, you'll see the Taynal Mosque on your right, just beyond the old city walls.

    If you are starting from the Byblos Port, walk towards the main street, which is located just behind the port area. Turn right on the main street and walk towards the Byblos Citadel. As you approach the Citadel, look for signs directing you to the Taynal Mosque. It should take around 15 minutes to reach the mosque from the port.

    Starting from the Byblos Archaeological Site, exit the site and head towards the main road. Turn left and walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach a roundabout. From the roundabout, go straight and keep walking for another 10 minutes. You will see the Taynal Mosque on your left, just past the local market.
