Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Deir el Qamar, start walking towards the main road leading out of the village. Head towards the main square, passing by the famous Deir el Qamar Palace. Continue straight until you reach the intersection. At the intersection, turn left onto the Barouk Road. Follow this road for approximately 4 kilometers. Along the way, you may see signs for the Shouf Biosphere Reserve. As you approach Barouk, keep an eye out for the entrance sign to the Barouk Cedar Forest on your right-hand side.

    From Deir el Qamar, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is usually located near the main square. Look for a bus heading towards Barouk. Ensure to confirm with the driver that the bus goes to Barouk Cedar Forest. The bus ride will take around 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Barouk, disembark at the Barouk Cedar Forest stop. Follow the signs to the entrance of the forest, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
