Car
If you are driving, head towards Barouk - Joub Jannine Rd. From the center of Chouf, take the main road towards Barouk. Once you reach Barouk town, follow the signs for the Barouk Cedar forest which will lead you directly to the entrance. The total drive should take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Be cautious of the winding mountain roads.
Public Transportation
To reach the Shouf biosphere reserve via public transportation, you can take a shared taxi (service) from the main taxi station in Chouf to Barouk. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Barouk, you can either walk (about 15-20 minutes) towards the entrance of the Barouk Cedar forest or look for local taxis that can take you there. It's advisable to confirm the fare before getting in the taxi.
Walking
If you are already in Barouk, you can walk to the entrance of the Barouk Cedar forest. Starting from the town center, head towards the main road and look for directional signs pointing to the cedar forest. The walk should take about 15-20 minutes. Ensure you're wearing comfortable shoes as the path may be uneven.
