Discover more about Jezzine shallal

Jezzine Waterfall is one of Lebanon's most stunning natural landmarks, drawing tourists to the southern town of Jezzine. The waterfall's height is reported to be between 40 and 90 meters, depending on the source. The town itself is known as the "City of Falls" due to the presence of multiple waterfalls in the area. The waterfall is fed by the Jezzine River, with the most powerful flow occurring during the spring months. For the best experience, plan your visit between November and May. During the summer months (June to August), the waterfall may reduce to a trickle or dry up completely. Beneath the falls, visitors can find the Fakhr El-Din Grotto, a historical cave named after Emir Fakhr El-Din, who used it as a hideout from the Ottomans. The grotto is accessible by crawling through a tunnel. The waterfall is not only a beautiful sight but also an important water junction, as its waters eventually connect with the Awali River and contribute to the Litani power plant, providing electricity to a significant portion of South Lebanon.
