A Scenic Journey Above Harissa: Téléferique Harissa

Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head towards Harissa, which is located approximately 25 kilometers north of Beirut. Take the coastal highway (Mina Road) and follow signs for Jounieh. Once you arrive in Jounieh, look for signs directing you to Harissa. You will need to ascend the hill to reach Téléferique Harissa. There is parking available near the Téléferique station, but be aware that there may be a small parking fee.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, you can take a shared taxi (service) from Beirut to Jounieh. These taxis are usually located at designated taxi stands in central Beirut. Once you arrive in Jounieh, you can either walk to the Téléferique station or take a local taxi to reach the base of the Téléferique. The cost for the shared taxi from Beirut to Jounieh is approximately 15,000 to 20,000 LBP. If you opt for a local taxi from Jounieh to the Téléferique, expect to pay around 5,000 to 10,000 LBP.

• Walking

  If you're already in Harissa, you can walk to the Téléferique station. It is well-signposted, and the walk offers beautiful views of the surrounding area. From the main road, follow the signs towards Téléferique Harissa, which is about a 10-15 minute walk uphill. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path may be steep in certain areas.
