Batroun Mountains Organic Winery: A Taste of Terroir

Batroun Mountains Organic Winery is a family-owned winery dedicated to crafting wines that reflect the values of the Hark family and the unique terroir of the Batroun region. Established in 2003, the winery prides itself on producing a diverse range of organic wines, all certified to meet EU organic standards. The vineyards span across eight plots in six villages, situated at altitudes ranging from 400 to 1500 meters above sea level. Growing grapes in the mountains is challenging due to the rocky nature of the fields and the labor-intensive work required to maintain the narrow, terraced vineyards. However, these very challenges contribute to the superior quality of the grapes, resulting in well-concentrated juice with intense flavor and color. The winery focuses on each step of the winemaking process, believing that a quality bottle of wine is made in the vineyard, not in the winery. Visitors to Batroun Mountains can enjoy guided tours of the vineyards, learn about the organic winemaking process, and taste the winery's award-winning wines. The tasting room offers a relaxed and inviting atmosphere where visitors can appreciate the unique flavors and aromas of the wines.
