Walking
Start from the center of Marjayoun, near the Marjayoun Citadel. Walk south along the main road (Ain al-Hilweh St.) for about 1 kilometer until you reach the end of the street. Turn right onto the road leading to Tyre (Route 5). Continue walking for approximately 13 kilometers. Along the way, you will see signs indicating Tyre. Once you enter Tyre, follow the signs to the coastal area where you can explore the historical sites and beaches.
Public Transportation (Minibus)
From Marjayoun, head to the main bus station which is located near the central market. Look for a minibus heading towards Tyre. The minibuses are typically labeled with their destination. It will cost a small fare, and the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Tyre, disembark at the main square or near the coast where you can start your exploration of the city.
Bike Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Marjayoun. Start your journey by heading south on Ain al-Hilweh St., then take Route 5 towards Tyre. The ride is approximately 13 kilometers and is quite scenic. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow the road rules. Upon reaching Tyre, you can park your bike at various locations near the beach or historical sites.
