Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're in the center of Tyre, head towards the old souk area. Start at the Tyre Souk, which is located at the intersection of Rue de L'Indépendance and Rue de la Paix. From the souk, walk straight along Rue de L'Indépendance for about 10 minutes until you reach the large square at the end of the road. This square is known as Place de l'Indépendance. Here, you will see the old city walls on your left. Continue walking straight, following the signs for the 'Hippodrome'. After about 5 minutes, you will notice the Hippodrome entrance on your right at the address 76C3+5GR. The entrance is marked and the area is usually bustling with visitors.

  • Public Transport

    From any location in Tyre, you can take a local bus or shared taxi (service taxi) towards the northern part of the city. Look for a bus heading towards the Tyre Lighthouse or the Tyre Sea Castle. The fare is usually minimal. Ask the driver to drop you off near the Hippodrome. Once you get off, walk back a few meters towards the main road, and you will find the entrance to the Hippodrome at 76C3+5GR on your left.
