Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, make your way to the town of 'Baatara', which is located off the main road connecting Jbeil (Byblos) and Tripoli. From Jbeil, head north on the main road (Route 51) for approximately 30 km until you reach the intersection for the town of Baatara. Follow the signs for 'Baatara Gorge Waterfall'. The drive from Jbeil to Baatara should take about 40 minutes. Once in Baatara, park your vehicle in the designated parking area near the entrance to the waterfall site. Note that the roads may be narrow and winding, so drive carefully.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can catch a bus or shared taxi from Tripoli to Jbeil (Byblos). The journey takes approximately 1 hour and costs around 5,000 LBP. Once you arrive in Jbeil, you will need to transfer to another bus or shared taxi heading towards Baatara. The fare for this leg of the trip is approximately 3,000 LBP, and it will take about 30 minutes to reach Baatara. After arriving in Baatara, you may have to walk 10-15 minutes to reach the waterfall entrance, as public transport may not reach the exact site.

• Walking

  Once you arrive in Baatara, whether by car or public transport, you will need to walk to the waterfall site. The entrance is marked, and the path is relatively straightforward. Follow the signs leading to the Baatara Gorge Waterfall. The walk takes approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace. Be sure to wear comfortable footwear as the terrain can be uneven in some areas.
