Since its opening on November 28, 2001, BIEL has hosted numerous exhibitions, conferences, concerts, and private events, establishing itself as a key landmark in Lebanon. BIEL boasts extensive facilities, including indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces, conference centers, and a grand ballroom. Its versatile spaces can accommodate a wide range of events, from trade shows to large-scale concerts. The center has a standing capacity of 10,000 and a seating capacity of 9,000. Throughout the years, BIEL has welcomed many international artists, including Mariah Carey, Phil Collins, 50 Cent, and Ellie Goulding. Shakira holds the record for the most attended concert in Lebanon, with approximately 32,000 attendees. BIEL moved from Arena Waterfront to Emile Lahoud highway in 2018.
