Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the center of Zahle, specifically from the main square (Sahat al-Mahatta). Head northeast on the main street, which is called Rue de l'Independence. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Bekaa Valley. Turn left onto the Bekaa Valley road (Route 5) and continue walking for approximately 2 kilometers. You will pass several small shops and cafes on your way, which can be great for a quick refreshment or to ask locals for directions. After walking 2 kilometers, look for a sign that indicates the direction to Ain el Borkhane and follow it. This road will lead you into a more natural and rural area. Continue walking for about 1 kilometer, and you will soon reach Ain el Borkhane, a beautiful spring surrounded by greenery.

    From the center of Zahle, head to the bus station located near the main square (Sahat al-Mahatta). Look for a bus that is heading towards the Bekaa Valley. Buses are frequent, so you shouldn't have to wait long. Once you board, inform the driver that you're going to Ain el Borkhane. The bus will take you along Route 5. After approximately 20 minutes of travel, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Ain el Borkhane. After disembarking, walk in the direction indicated by the signs or ask locals for further directions. It should take about 10-15 minutes of walking to reach Ain el Borkhane from the drop-off point.
