If you are traveling by car, head south on the main road (Highway 5) from Baalbek or Zahle, depending on your starting point. Follow the signs towards Majdal Tarshish. Once you reach the village, use a GPS or maps application to navigate to the coordinates (33.8966577, 35.8324211) which will lead you directly to Baloue Majdal Tarshish. Parking is typically available near the site.
Public Transport
For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from either Baalbek or Zahle to the nearest town that services Majdal Tarshish. Buses to Majdal Tarshish are available but may require a transfer at a larger town or city. Once you arrive in Majdal Tarshish, you can either walk or take a local taxi to get to Baloue Majdal Tarshish located at coordinates (33.8966577, 35.8324211). Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance to plan your return trip.
Taxi
From Beirut, a taxi to Majdal Tarshish would be the most direct but also the most expensive option. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey. A ride of approximately 40 km can cost around $33. Alternatively, you can take a shared taxi ('service') from Beirut to a town closer to Majdal Tarshish, such as Baabda, for around LL150,000. From Baabda, take another shared taxi towards 'Aley' or 'Majdal Tarchich'. The fare should be around LL5,000 to LL10,000, depending on your negotiation skills.
