Discover more about Jbeil Public Park

Jbeil Public Park, also known as Byblos Public Park, provides a serene contrast to the ancient city's historical sites. Inaugurated in October 2011, the park was created by the Jbail-Byblos Municipality to introduce an ecotourism destination, breathing life into a city rich with buildings and constructions. Winning an award at the EME3 International Festival for Architecture in Barcelona even before its completion, the park's design emphasizes green spaces with perennial trees like olive, cypress, and date palm, as well as colorful flowers and aromatic plants. The park features rest areas, pedestrian zones, a small pond, a stage for performances, and an outdoor public gym. While some playground and gym equipment may show signs of wear, the park remains a popular spot for families and individuals seeking recreation. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls, picnics, and sports activities on the walking tracks. The park's central location, next to the archaeological area, makes it easily accessible and a perfect complement to a day of historical exploration. Open from morning until late evening, Jbeil Public Park offers a peaceful retreat with its natural beauty and recreational opportunities. Whether you're looking to unwind amidst nature, spend quality time with family, or simply enjoy a break from sightseeing, Jbeil Public Park provides a welcoming environment for all.
