Walking
Starting from the Zahle city center, head east along the main street (Ain El Jdideh Street). Continue straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Baalbek. You will see signs for Baalbek. Turn left onto the Baalbek road and continue for about 30 minutes on foot, passing by local shops and cafes. Follow the path until you see the entrance to the Baalbek archaeological site.
Public Bus
From Zahle, locate the main bus station, which is situated near the city center. Look for a bus heading towards Baalbek. The buses usually have signs indicating their destinations. The journey will take around 30 to 40 minutes. Once you arrive in Baalbek, disembark at the main bus stop, and from there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the Baalbek archaeological site. Just follow the signs or ask locals for directions.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from Zahle to Baalbek. Head to a nearby taxi stand or ask your hotel to arrange one for you. The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting the trip. The taxi will drop you off directly at the entrance of the Baalbek site, making it very convenient.
