From the center of Thaba-Tseka, head southeast towards the main road (A1). Once on the A1, walk along the road heading towards Marakabeis. The distance is approximately 15 kilometers, so prepare for a long walk. Along the way, you will pass through scenic landscapes and local villages. Be sure to carry water and wear comfortable shoes. As you approach Marakabeis, keep an eye out for directional signs pointing towards Mohale Dam.

Rent a bicycle in Thaba-Tseka. From the rental location, follow the same route as if you were walking: head southeast to the A1 road. Once on the A1, cycle towards Marakabeis. This will make the journey quicker, taking about 30-45 minutes depending on your cycling speed. The route offers beautiful views, so enjoy the ride while being cautious of vehicles. Look for signs directing to Mohale Dam once you reach Marakabeis.

Public Transport (Taxi)

Find a local taxi service in Thaba-Tseka that operates on the route to Marakabeis. Confirm with the driver that they can take you to Mohale Dam. The taxi will take you along the A1 road towards Marakabeis. This option is quicker, usually taking about 20 minutes. Make sure to have some cash on hand for the fare.
