SAPO is located in Sinoe County and is best accessed by car from Monrovia. The drive takes approximately 4-5 hours, passing through towns like Zwedru. Hiring a local guide for transport is recommended due to challenging road conditions, especially during the rainy season. Note that roads to the park are dirt and can be impassable during the rainy season. It is important to make arrangements with the FDA or Sapo Ecolodge prior to arriving.
