    From St. Gallen, take a train to Herisau, then transfer to another train to Urnäsch. From Urnäsch, the PostBus line 791 will take you directly to Schwägalp, Säntis-Schwebebahn. The bus ride offers scenic views as it ascends to the pass. A single bus fare from Urnäsch to Schwägalp costs approximately CHF 5-8. The entire journey takes around 1 hour and 55 minutes.

    Driving

    From St. Gallen, drive towards Schwägalp Pass. The journey is approximately 31.2 km and takes around 35 minutes. Free parking is available at Schwägalp. Be aware that the pass road has a maximum grade of 12%.

    Säntis Cable Car

    Once at Schwägalp, the most direct route to the summit of Säntis is via the Säntis cable car. A return ticket costs CHF 54 for adults. The cable car ascends over 1,200 meters in just 10 minutes, offering panoramic views of the Alpstein massif and Lake Constance.
