Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein: A Modern Art Haven

The Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, located in the heart of Vaduz, is a prominent museum dedicated to modern and contemporary art. The building itself, designed by Swiss architects Meinrad Morger, Heinrich Degelo, and Christian Kerez, is a striking architectural statement. In 2015, the Kunstmuseum expanded with the addition of the Hilti Art Foundation exhibition building. This cube-shaped extension, designed by Morger Partner Architekten, maintains a unified presence with the original museum. The Hilti Art Foundation displays a rotating selection of paintings, sculptures, and objects from classical modernism to contemporary art. Visitors can explore works by artists such as Gauguin, Picasso, and Klee. The museum's architecture, with its 'black box' exterior and 'white cube' interior, creates a unique environment for experiencing art.
