The building has a rich history, having housed a dental factory, a radio station, and even the Liechtenstein State Art Collection before the collection moved to the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein. Since 2002, the Engländerbau has been dedicated to contemporary art, hosting changing exhibitions that encompass a variety of genres, including painting, sculpture, installation, and performance art. The Kunstraum Engländerbau aims to make contemporary art accessible to a wide audience, promoting exchange and networking within the art world.
