The trail leads through the town of Maienfeld and past vineyards. Luggage can be deposited at the Heidi-Shop near the train station. No costs are associated with walking the trail.

From Maienfeld railway station, the Heidi Bus (PostBus) operates on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from May to October. This bus takes you directly to Heididorf.
