• Walking

  If you are already in Malbun, the Sassweg hiking trail is easily accessible on foot. From the village center, walk towards Turnastrasse. The trail entrance at Turnastrasse 45 is about a 15-20 minute walk. Enjoy the scenic views along the way.

• Public Transport

  To reach Sassweg hiking trail via public transport, take the local bus to Malbun. From Vaduz, take bus line 21 to the Malbun, Jöraboda stop. From the bus stop, walk towards Turnastrasse, where you'll find the trail entrance at number 45. A single-day ticket for all zones in Liechtenstein costs CHF 12. Note that if you are staying in a participating hotel, you may be eligible for a Guest Mobility Card, which provides free access to the LIEmobil bus network.

• Driving

  If driving from the north or south, exit Autobahn 13 at Sevelen/Vaduz and cross the border from Switzerland to Liechtenstein. A mountain road leads from Vaduz, through Triesenberg and Steg, to Malbun. In Malbun, turn onto Turnastrasse; the Sassweg hiking trail entrance is located at number 45. Parking is generally available in Malbun, often free of charge. If parking lots in Malbun are full, additional parking is available in Steg, with a shuttle bus to Malbun. Motorhome parking is available at Malbun P2 for CHF 15 per night, plus a visitor's tax of CHF 1.50 per person.
