An inscription plaque to the right of the bust reads: "TO HIS GREAT SON / THE COMPOSER JOSEF GABRIEL VON RHEINBERGER / PRIVY COUNCILLOR AND PROFESSOR / 1839 VADUZ 1910 MUNICH / LIECHTENSTEIN RETAINS THIS MEMORIAL". Rheinberger's remains were moved to Vaduz in 1949 after his original gravesite in Munich was damaged during WWII.
