If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Malbun. Head southeast on the main road (Landstraße) towards the Malbun cable car station. Continue following the signs for the cable car. Once you reach the Malbun cable car station, you can park your car in the designated parking area (please note that there may be a parking fee). After parking, take the cable car up to the Alps. The ride takes about 15 minutes and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Once you reach the top station, follow the marked hiking trails towards Naafkopf, which is about a 1-2 hour hike depending on your pace.

For those using public transportation, start at the nearest bus stop in Malbun. Take Bus Line 11 towards 'Malbun'. Alight at the 'Malbun, Post' stop. From there, walk towards the Malbun cable car station, which is just a short 5-10 minute walk. Once you reach the cable car station, purchase your ticket for the ride up to the Alps (ticket prices may vary). After enjoying the scenic cable car ride, follow the marked hiking trails towards Naafkopf. The hike will take approximately 1-2 hours, so make sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water.
