Driving
From the A13 motorway, take exit 13 towards Maienfeld. Follow the brown 'Heididorf' signs to the center of Maienfeld. From there, continue following the signs with the car or bus symbol to the Heididorf visitor car park located near Hotel Restaurant Heidihof. Parking fees apply. Be aware that the roads can be narrow and winding.
Public Transport
Take a train or bus to Maienfeld station. From the station, you can either walk the Heidi Trail (Heidiweg) to Heididorf (approximately 35-40 minutes) or take the Heidi Bus (PostBus), which operates on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from May to October. A single PostBus fare within Maienfeld is approximately CHF 3-5. The Heidi Trail is well-marked with red 'Heidiweg' signs.
Walking
From Maienfeld train station, follow the red 'Heidiweg' signs. The Heidi Trail leads through the historic town of Maienfeld, past vineyards, and up to Heididorf. The walk is approximately 2.4 km and takes about 35-40 minutes. Luggage storage is available at the Heidi-Shop/Tourist Information at Bahnhofstrasse 1 for a small fee.
