Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the center of Kaunas, head southeast on Maironio g. toward Laisvės al. Continue straight onto Vytauto pr. Follow the road as it turns into Kauno g. and then turn left onto Aleksoto g. Follow Aleksoto g. until you reach the Aleksotas Observation Deck. There is parking available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking fees.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Aleksotas Observation Deck using public transport, take bus number 1 or 3 from the Kaunas city center. Get off at the 'Aleksotas' stop. From there, it’s a short walk up Aleksoto g. to the observation deck. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for the most current times. A single bus ticket costs around €1.00.

• Walking

  If you are staying close to the city center, you can also walk to the Aleksotas Observation Deck. From the main square (Rotušės aikštė), head southeast along Maironio g. and then follow the directions for driving as outlined above. The walk will take approximately 30 minutes, and you will enjoy the sights of Kaunas along the way.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike in Kaunas and cycle to the observation deck. Follow the bike paths from the city center, heading south towards Aleksotas. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.
