Getting There

  • Car

    From Trakai Island Castle, head northwest on the main road towards Trakai. After about 0.5 km, take a left onto the A16 highway towards Vilnius. Continue on the A16 for approximately 25 km. Follow signs for Vilnius and merge onto the A2 road. Stay on A2 for about 5 km, then take the exit toward Vilnius Centre. Continue straight for about 1.5 km, then turn right onto Maironio Street. After about 500 meters, turn left onto Didžioji Street. The Vilnius Town Hall will be on your right at Didžioji g. 31. Parking may be available nearby, but check for any parking fees in the area.

    From Trakai Island Castle, walk to the Trakai bus station, which is about 1 km away (approximately 15 minutes on foot). At the bus station, catch a bus to Vilnius. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes and costs around €2. Once you arrive at the Vilnius bus station, head towards the main exit and look for the tram stop nearby. Take tram line 3 or 5 towards the city center. After about 5 stops, get off at the 'Vokiečių' stop. From there, walk along Vokiečių Street for about 400 meters, then turn left onto Didžioji Street. Vilnius Town Hall will be on your left at Didžioji g. 31.
