Getting There

  • Public Bus

    Start at the Monroe Transit System bus station located at 400 Walnut St. Take Bus Route 1 towards the Monroe Mall. Ride for about 20 minutes and get off at the Monroe Mall stop. From there, transfer to Bus Route 2 towards Richland Place. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the Richland Place stop. The Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center is a short walk from the bus stop, located at 480 Richland Pl. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions if needed.
