    From the French Quarter, walk to the nearest RTA streetcar stop on Chartres Street and take the Riverfront Streetcar towards the Convention Center. Get off at the Canal Street stop. At Canal Street, transfer to the #51 bus (Chef Menteur Highway) at the bus stop on the corner. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes, until you reach the stop at Chef Menteur Highway and Fort Pike. From there, it is a short walk to the entrance of Fort Pike.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs in the French Quarter. Start by heading east on St. Ann Street towards North Rampart Street, then take a left onto North Rampart. Continue until you reach Elysian Fields Avenue. Turn right on Elysian Fields and follow the road to the Chef Menteur Highway. From there, head east on Chef Menteur for about 6 miles, and you will arrive at Fort Pike.
