From the center of Slidell, head to the nearest bus stop located at the intersection of Gause Blvd and Robert Blvd. Take the Jefferson Transit bus route 64 towards New Orleans. Stay on the bus for approximately 40 minutes, and get off at the stop closest to the St. Charles Ave & Poydras St intersection. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to Caesars Superdome. Head northeast on Poydras St, then turn left onto S Claiborne Ave, and finally right onto Sugar Bowl Dr.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental service in Slidell. Start your ride heading south on Gause Blvd until you reach the I-10 overpass. Take the bike path along Gause Blvd that leads you towards New Orleans. Once you enter the city, follow the signs for the bike lanes along Poydras St, leading you directly to the Caesars Superdome at 1500 Sugar Bowl Dr. The total distance is about 25 miles, so be prepared for a long ride.
Walking
For an adventurous option, you can walk to Caesars Superdome from Slidell. Start at the Slidell train station and head southwest towards Gause Blvd. Follow Gause Blvd until you reach the I-10 bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight through the city. This journey is approximately 25 miles and will take around 8 hours, so it’s advisable to start early in the morning and carry water and snacks.
