From Slidell, head to the nearest bus stop for the RTA (Regional Transit Authority). Look for Bus Route 88 which travels towards New Orleans. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride. Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes until you reach the stop at Canal Street and Bourbon Street. Once you disembark, walk one block down Bourbon Street to 941 Bourbon St, where Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar is located.

Make your way to the Slidell Amtrak station located at 500 Front St. Purchase a ticket for the Crescent train that travels to New Orleans. The journey takes about 1 hour. Upon arrival at the New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal, exit the station and catch a streetcar on the St. Charles line heading towards Canal Street. Get off at the Canal Street stop and walk to Bourbon Street, then head straight to 941 Bourbon St.
