From Slidell, walk to the nearest bus stop at the corner of Gause Blvd and Robert Blvd. Take the Jefferson Transit bus route #88 towards New Orleans. Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes, and get off at the stop for Canal St and Decatur St. From there, walk a short distance down Decatur St to reach Latrobe Park.

Head to the nearest train station in Slidell and board an Amtrak train heading towards New Orleans. The train ride will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal, exit the station and take a streetcar on the Canal Street line. Ride the streetcar until you reach the stop at Decatur St. Walk a few minutes down Decatur St to arrive at Latrobe Park.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride from Slidell to New Orleans. Start by heading south on Gause Blvd, then turn onto Robert Blvd and continue until you reach the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway. Ride across the bridge, which has a bike lane, and once you reach the New Orleans side, follow the bike paths towards the French Quarter. Once you reach Decatur St, Latrobe Park will be on your right.
