Public Bus
From Slidell, head to the nearest bus stop and board the 94 or 88 bus towards New Orleans. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the Canal at Bourbon stop. Once you exit the bus, walk towards Bourbon Street. You should be able to see the vibrant street filled with shops and restaurants. Continue walking straight on Bourbon Street for about 5 minutes until you reach 311 Bourbon St, where Musical Legends Park is located.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Slidell. Once you have your bike, head south on Gause Blvd towards I-10. Follow the bike lanes and continue onto US-11, which leads directly into New Orleans. Once you cross the bridge, keep straight until you reach the French Quarter. Look for signs directing you to Bourbon Street. Once on Bourbon Street, ride for about 10 minutes until you reach 311 Bourbon St.
Rideshare Service
For a more direct route, download a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft on your smartphone. Input '311 Bourbon St, New Orleans, LA' as your destination. The driver will pick you up from your location in Slidell and take you directly to the Musical Legends Park. The ride typically takes about 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Walking from the train station
If you arrive by train at the Slidell Amtrak station, exit the station and head southwest on Front St. Turn right onto Gause Blvd and continue for about 1 mile. From there, you can either catch a bus to New Orleans or consider a rideshare service for a quicker trip. If walking, head to the bus stop on Gause Blvd and take the bus as described above. Note that walking directly to New Orleans would take approximately 2 hours, which is not recommended.
