Public Bus
From Slidell, walk to the nearest bus stop on Gause Blvd. Board the 88 or 89 bus heading towards New Orleans. Stay on the bus for about 45 minutes until you reach the Canal at Convention Center stop. Once you get off, walk west on Canal St. for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Convention Center Blvd. Turn left onto Convention Center Blvd, and the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center will be on your right.

Train
Head to the Slidell Amtrak station located at 400 Front St. Take the Amtrak City of New Orleans train towards Chicago. Get off at the New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal. From there, exit the station and catch the streetcar on Canal St. heading towards the river. Get off at the Convention Center stop, walk west on Canal St. for about 5 minutes, turn left onto Convention Center Blvd, and the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center will be on your right.

If you are staying in downtown Slidell, you can walk to the nearest bus station on Gause Blvd and then take the bus to New Orleans. However, if you're up for a longer adventure, you can walk down Gause Blvd to the nearest bus stop, take a bus to the New Orleans area, and then follow the previous bus or train directions to reach the convention center.
