To reach St. Louis Cathedral from Slidell, start by taking the local bus service. Head to the nearest bus stop and catch the #204 bus towards New Orleans. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the New Orleans bus terminal, exit and walk towards the Canal Street. From Canal Street, transfer to the #5 bus heading towards 'French Quarter'. Get off at the 'Chartres at St. Louis' stop. From there, walk towards Pere Antoine Alley, and you will find St. Louis Cathedral on your left.

If you prefer walking, you can start from the center of Slidell and head towards the nearest bus stop to catch the bus towards New Orleans. After arriving at the New Orleans terminal, you can walk through the French Quarter. It's about a 20-minute walk from the terminal to St. Louis Cathedral. Just head southwest on Canal Street, turn left onto Chartres Street, and then take a right onto Pere Antoine Alley. The Cathedral will be ahead.
