Getting There

• Public Bus

  From Slidell, head to the nearest bus stop for the RTA (Regional Transit Authority) bus service. You can catch the E-1 bus towards New Orleans at the bus stop located at 101 W Hall Ave. Stay on the bus until you reach the 'Canal at Chartres' stop in New Orleans. Once you get off, walk two blocks south on Chartres Street, and The Jimani will be on your left at 141 Chartres St.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local shop in Slidell. Head south on Gause Blvd E, following the bike lanes toward the I-10 overpass. Continue towards the Bonnet Carre' Spillway, then connect to the Tammany Trace trail. Follow the trail to the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway and cross over to New Orleans. Once in New Orleans, navigate to Chartres Street and head south until you reach The Jimani at 141 Chartres St.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, start at the Slidell Amtrak station. From there, walk south on Front St until you reach E Howze Beach Rd. Continue to travel south until you reach the intersection with Gause Blvd. Here, you can take the bus or a rideshare service to New Orleans. Alternatively, walk to the nearest bus stop for the RTA bus service. Once you arrive in New Orleans, follow the same instructions for the bus to 'Canal at Chartres' stop and then walk to The Jimani.

• Rideshare (Uber/Lyft)

  Open your rideshare app and request a ride to '141 Chartres St, New Orleans, LA 70130'. The driver will pick you up from your current location in Slidell. It typically takes about 45 minutes to an hour to reach The Jimani, depending on traffic conditions. Make sure to check the estimated time and fare before confirming your ride.
